When I had my tongue pierced it only hurt for the first 3 days, and it was nothing like what you described. It was more of a dull pain when I ate. I'd get to a doc ASAP.

I don't know if your the one I spoke with yesterday or not. I'm sure there are others here that will agree with me.
I have seen several of you people come in the ER with their tongues so swollen they cannot speak. The mouth is one of the most bacteria ridden parts of the body, it's simply full of germs and, then you open a wound for cosmetic purposes?

I've seen people go into septic shock over tongue piercings due to infection. Get that ring or whatever, out of there and get it cleaned out, That's the advise I would give you.

the pain on the back of your head is most likely unrelated. the glands where? if its in your mouth or even your neck, it could be related, but probably no big deal unless you notice signs of infection. excess saliva is VERY normal with a tongue piercing.

i've had mine done twice. the first time i was all paranoid about stuff like that too.

Hey are you using the half water/listerine to rinse your mouth every hour? If there's pain then somethings wrong, and you can't drink alcohol unless you want your tongue to get swollen.
