i met this guy whom i really like and he really seems into me but he keeps sending me mixed signals, when we first started seeing eachother he told me go with the flow and not get serious, then he calls and wants to hang out everyday, he also wants to know where we stand (when he was just telling me not to label and make it serious), makes comments like well one of us has to be smart so are children arent retarded, then the same day he sits at home watching a movie by himself and doesnt invite me over, is there somthing im not getting its one extreme or another is he scared of getting hurt?

Sue, carefully read your question andyou have the answer. He is certainly strange. Look inside yhourself and ask if your association with him is honoring you? Sounds to me as if he seeks to please only himself and it is not important to him if you are pleased or not.

He is obviously at a point in his life where he doesn't know what he wants. On the one hand he wants something serious, but on the other hand he doesn't. Maybe he's not ready for committment, or maybe he's just stringing you along and waiting for something better and just telling you those things to get what he wants.
For your sake, I'm hoping it's the former. But again, cast a line and grab a new one!

ok..it looks like he's simple not sure and ready to be committed in such a relationship. He certainly likes you, and you apparently like him too good. My best solution is to keep doing what your doing. And when he messes up like makeing a comment " well one of us has to be smart so are children arent retarded" look at him in the eyes and ask him what he meant by that comment. clear out what he truly means in his words and you'll see him for what he truly is and what he wants. best of luck

he probably just doesnt hear how confused he sounds. try not to take anything he says literal or serious at times so u wont be so confused

he just want a free ride when he wants it and anytime he feels for it and you are giving it to him for free without commitment.
