Why is it that nascar with all it's millions can't come up with rules that can be enforced prior to a race? It's got to stop. Get out of the office's and fix it. The fines are becoming bigger news than the results.

Ever since Bill France Jr. passed away NASCAR has made one stupid move after another. From dragging AT&T into court; to the unjust benching of Jeff and Jimmie. They have been inconsistent, irratic, and unreasonable.

I know Bill France Jr. was retired some years ago; but you can trace all this insanity to the moment he passed away; which makes me wonder if he really did retire.

NASCAR needs to be solid in it's rules, needs to be consitent in their enforcement; and it needs to quit sueing the Team Sponsors. Talk about biting the hand that feeds you.

If NASCAR doesn't watch it it's going to find itself dragged into court and get slammed by Sponsors, Team Owners, and even Drivers. I have never seen a sloppier administration of a Sport as I am seeing in NASCAR right now.

Well this is the first time that NASCAR has introduced a new type of car (which I hate by the way) and told the teams " DO NOT TOUCH THIS CAR!!" The crews have ALWAYS modified their cars to try to gain an advantage, and you can't just cut that off like a light switch. It's what they were hired to do. I don't know why NASCAR wants to take away the "x" factor in racing. Dale Sr. had it, Richard Petty had it, Jeff Gordon had it, and now they want to take it away so that the small teams have the same chance as the big teams. Sure, some like that, but I don't. It has worked for NASCAR for as long as it has been alive, and now they want to get rid of it. It doesn't make any sense to me. So I guess we'll just see how this "Equal opportunity" crap plays out. But it could very well hurt NASCAR. I hope not.

Your absolutly right!!!! Look at how many peope are calling these guys cheaters and its not just Jimmy,Jeff Dale jr. and Kennseth. There were two ther fines levied this week outside of the #24 and #48 and people arent even talking about those.Nascar brass wants to be the powerful Oz and unless they are willing to actually bring 43 cars to the track this will never work. Why they are so intent on killing the sport is beyond me.Why dont they inspect a car if theres a problem give them an hour to fix it maybe toss in a lil fine and be done with it.Why do they want to be known as a sport of cheaters and I promise you as long as you have 50 cars with 50 crew chiefs you'll never have them exactly the same. These violations have all been PRE-RACE they have had no bearing what-so-ever on race results. There is a post-race inspection that if you fail that, fine suspend people for that. But pre-race inspection is not the same.Maybe Nascar ought to visit the teams mid-week and clear up any grey area that exsists.

The violation of rules is out of hand. The race fans knpw that teams will alter the rules to gain an edge and are not worried about penalties. Most of the time penalties are nothing, docking points does cause some problems at end of year, fines are chicken feed and the ownes pay and go.Suspending the crew cheifs is a joke.
NASCAR has to be more firm, and this would intell suspending the full car and crew for an event. As harsh as it seems this would get the fans ,the sponsors and teams attention and make them think twice before they "misinterpet" a rule.
Grant it there are a lot of people that would get upset and rightfully so but if this is the only way to curtel cheating this is what has to be done.

Nascar made a big error when they came up with this NON stock car, the COT. This crappy looking thing will be a big factor in nascar losing fans. It is not a STOCK car as we 40 some year fans are used to seeing on the track. Why don't they just select a make, Chev, Ford or what ever, and have everyone run the same make?? That way, there will be little cheating and driving will mean more.

I am a huge Hendricks fan, and I think it was important for them to get into trouble so people can stop saying they cheat all the time. They have to keep the integrity of the sport to ensure everyone is not cheating.

I think recently the fines and penalties have become bigger results because look who got into trouble? Jr, then Jeff, and Jimmy... of course thats going to be huge news, and more news than Montoya winning...

and besides how long do you remember the winner of the race anyway? I am a huge nascar fan and unless Jeff wins, I dont remember 2 races ago.

They are doing it as we speak slowly with there weird tactic of late.
These last rule infractions were caught before the race. Simple remedy go back to the garage and fix it then come back and we will check it again, and again until you get it right. No fine needed just fix it. You can't get on the track until it is fixed or the part is changed.
They have no clue how to fine a team for the crime. Every crime gets the same fine.

The rules are broken because engineers are paid to constantly improve the car's performance. Many of the rules that are broken go on to be accepted by nascar because they help all the cars. It comes to the idea of how close can the engineer get to the line without going over it.
