afraid of everything?

i have a younger sister who is 16 almost 17, and she is afraid of everything that comes near dating. her last relationship was a few years ago and lasted almost 4 months. she wouldnt kiss, hug, or hold his hand or anything like that. they would go on dates though. shes afraid of commitment, dating, growing old and alone, kissing, making out, hugging, sex, just anything and everything in that general area. i dont know what to tell her.what could be wrong and what should i tell her? also she likes a few guys, and she like getting attention from them. but when it comes to dating, she avoids it and makes up excuses that she cant.

She might be asexual, that means not attracted sexually to either sex. some asexuals kiss and hug but dont have sex, some dont ever do any of it. have a look at this website...

Something is amiss, honey. Maybe a trauma or experience she is afraid to share.

You sound like a great brother, so get closer, earn her trust and perhaps she'll open up some to you.

All girls are a bit skittish at this age, but I do smell something pretty wrong here.

At 17 sometimes people are not fully developed emotionally. Sometimes teenagers still feel like kids, and when they think of sexual activities they get scared. Especially when they lack love and guidance from both their parents. Not that I'm saying she does, I wouldn't know. I'm just saying that could be one reason. I think she should wait till she's ready emotionally. I think she should grow.

you should be happy as a brother...lol but really your gonna have to let her grow out of that on her own... as she gets older she will see that her being afraid will only end her relationships a lot faster than she wants it too

Your sister has some serious issues regarding her own sense of trusting. She should seriously consider counseling.
