noone lives there.. its just an island, and you need special permission to visit.. im in the military and we flew there from okinawa..
also, we didnt give japan back completely.. we still occupy many bases there. i was stationed on okinawa.

We gave back Western Europe, too. The purpose of our part of WW2 was to keep Germany and Japan from taking over the world. We couldn't very well stop that and then take it over ourselves.
