Its supposed to stop them from smelling before you've even worn them?

Hi there...It's called silica gel and is there to absorb any moisture that might build up in your shoes before you buy them....you get those little packets in purses and bags and lots of other things...just toss it out.

I am a retired florist and we used silica gel to dry flowers. It's pretty cool stuff.

SILICA GEL - it is very poisonous, so don't attempt to open the package and obviously keep away from children and animals.

It's use is to absorb moisture and so keep the product mould free. It is widely used in all sorts of products.

I actually keep them from all my purchases and re-use them when storing stuff to again, keep them moisture and therefore damp free!

Another thing that can be re-cycled!!

Silica Gel. It's just meant to remove moisture from products. You get them with new cameras too. Do not eat, by the way, lol!

Silica Gel- ask me how i know- my son swallowed some when he was around 6 months. I thought he would die, but luckily, he was ok

it's silica gel. it's to absorb moisture that may get into the packaging
