Nope. God is there, I am certain of it.
Knowing God is like grabbing the red-hot bar of a quartz heater... you see it turn red and suspect that's where the heat comes from, but once you grab it, you've experienced the heat and you know it's hot. Experience God and you'll know He's real.

god is unknown but the concept of god has been real and people have believed in him for centuries. the assumption that god is there gives strength i suppose to people to go on living their lives come what may.such is the power of the thought.

I think less of an assumption and more of a theory. There is evidence to support the existence of a god or creator (read philisophical essays), but it is still unknown because...well...has anyone here actually met god?

Yes. There is no good evidence that there is a god. Human brains are pattern seeking machines though that tend to connect the dots even when the dots aren't actually connected in reality. As a result we are prone to coming up with the concept of a God. It is certainly understandable that most people find it comforting and helpful to believe that there is a God that watches over us and that is the source of our morals. There just isn't any actual evidence that this is the case and mountains of evidence that it isn't.
Experience alone isn't a valid indicator. We have all sorts of experiences that can't be verified in the real world. We can see, hear and smell things that just aren't there. We dream. I commonly levitate in my dreams. I have the experience and can describe exactly how it feels. When I have the dream I believe it is happening, I don't know that I'm dreaming.

Is it an assumption that in order to make a computer there is intelligence? The computer didn't form in the dessert by wind, water, gravity all by itself. Wouldn't it be an assumption to assume that we were made by chance through evolution?
The body is amazing. Every part works insyc with all other parts.

What do you mean? What is an unknown assumption? Do you mean is the concept of God completely based on faith, as in you don't know, but you assume. Your question is unclear.

Look at the question asked directly below yours, somehow I can link it to you if you wish......they asked how to tattoo their face.....
Unknowingly, why on earth would you do that?? Slaves in the past were tattooed or peirced for ownership purposes, so doing so now revolves around the same thing, only it is in the supernatural.
My question to you is, since God left this earth to Satan, why is it that the earth is dying now? (ie, no more oil, global warming, wars, fighting, killing...etc..?)
ps, there is hope, God is coming back!!! Only it won't be nice for those who don't believe in Him

It is certainly an assumption, and unknowable from a factual point of view, so I suppose that the answer is Yes.

It's a question of faith. People who love God and put their faith into Him know that He exists because He works in their lives and sees Him working in others as well.

Yes. No one's ever proven there is a God. People think the Bible is proof, but it's not, it's simply a book. I'm not saying that God isn't real, even though that's what I believe. I'm saying that you can't prove he is or isn't real.
