I don't know about denying. But it is sacred to us and we promised not to talk about certain things outside the temple.
We don't talk about it because we have honor and we respect the promises we made.
Any information out there on the net or otherwise, are given by people who did not keep their promise and I will leave it up to you whether to trust the source or not.
Please respect our traditions and that we hold temple information to be most dear. Mocking these things is hurtful and unkind to our way. If if is your-way to mock and ridicule what others love than so be it. That is not what I choose
God bless

Since the Temple Ceremonies have started there have been plenty of Ex Mormons who leave the church and talk about what goes on in the temple. These people choose to do so by their own free will to do this and will be judged accordingly. Yeah anyone can search and find out these things, so you can say it's not secret, but to myself and many many Mormons out there, it is very Sacred. And I take it very seriously.

That your living house website would not supply any information as to who you're, and don't enable electronic mail or others to examine your questions and solutions. Why is that? while you're an open minded individual, who needs to income and question and hear from different fascinated human beings, why are you a closed e book. i could want to correctly known what's in the back of each and all of the questions with regard to the Mormon Church. Do you have a beef with them. have been you a Mormon member and are no further? Is there some thing, the two interior the previous or the destiny which you're feeling is hurting you, as somebody? the guy who wrote the long speal (which i did no longer examine) isn't and grow to be no longer, a member of the L.D.S. I easily have investigated all religions and that i as a result locate some thing quite no longer top with what you attempt to do with your questions and inserts. I additionally am initiating .to have fairly of a niggling doubt which you're a black woman, given which you have by no potential reported the Mormon's teachings with regards to black human beings, interior the previous. you have pronounced each and every thing yet. Come sparkling. what's it with you. i could have an interest to correctly known, somewhat. by utilising the way, i'm open with my Q and A and my electronic mail account, so I easily have no longer something to conceal.

It's not that it's secret, although it sounds like you've already heard the phrase "sacred, not secret" But we don't even talk to each other about most of what we do in the temple outside of it. It doesn't matter if it's common knowledge or not, there are some things I only discuss in the temple.

It never was secret. The entire ceremony can be found in the Library of Congress and was there LONG before Mr. Gore invented the Internet.
We choose not to discuss things which we view as sacred because of our respect for our covenants, our integrity and our word.
Then there are people out there who just view nothing as sacred. Nothing is special. Nothing should be contemplated deep within the heart. Kind of sad, wouldn't you say?

As we keep saying, it is NOT secret, but it IS sacred. I can't help that some want to break sacred covenants with God, but I don't have to talk about it.
The fact that people don't understand and do not treat it as sacred, and even poke fun of it, makes me understand more the verse about not giving sacred things to the dogs or throwing pearls to the pigs.
edit: they do NOT replace the carpet or repaint the walls. Only if someone comes in and dessicrates te temple. Simply walking in and asking to see is not goingto cause them to get so radical.

Oh jeesh. Okays so first off...we know it's not a secret..never tried to make it be one. What we wanted was to have it be sacred..and there are a lot of ceremonies and stuff that go on in the temple. We don't need to lie, cuz we can tell you the truth....very important, meaningful and joyous things take place in the temple. Why does what we do cause such a question anyway? It's a building that has people in it, doing stuff. Just like other buildings. Just sacred and meaningful. No need to lie.

Members are now 'counseled' to deny they ever made throat-slashing or disemboweling signs during the temple ceremony.
So, just 'fugettaboutit', like polygamy, Mountain Meadows, Blacks or any other stupid thing the apostles dreamed up while 'on stage'.
Hibby: Didn't your bishop get the Salt Lake Letter informing them to ask about certain 'bedroom activities' not to be engaged in order to get a temple rec? Or are you just foolin' us again...

I have never heard anything about the Mormon Temple. I like the fact that they pray for their dead, like the Catholics.

It so sacred to them, they will lie and make up stuff just so they think you don't know. I happen to know that if a non mormon ever stepped into one of those temples where they have ceremonies, they replace the carpet and repaint the walls. They also feel that we non mormons are not worthy of listening to the description of the ceremonies. Some wont even allow converts to do it. Around here, they won't let you if you are, "of dark skin.". So wrong isn't it. Do they just make up stuff?
