Not to sound too arrogant, but the vast majority of the atheist posts on here actually sound ignorant, as if the poster didn’t understand religion, or religious people, at all. Granted, some of these posts were probably jokes, but most of the people who claim that they “know more about the Bible or Christianity that the Christians do” often ask questions that make it sound like they don’t know the basics of either one.

Even when an atheist makes an intelligent point, he rarely acknowledges a good rebuttal; and he rarely asks a good follow up question (or ANY follow up question) that indicates that he read and thought about the opposing side’s counter-point at all. They simply repeat the same mindless cut-and-paste objections that they got from some web site over and over again that have been rebutted long ago (sometimes centuries ago), without ever saying what was wrong with the rebuttal, or why it was unconvincing. This indicates that the majority of atheists are not really thinking about what they are saying, despite their claim to be “rational” and “thinking”. Most of them seem just as mindless and irrational as any theist with blind faith that they seem to love to ridicule.

Every once in awhile someone asks something that makes me stop and think, but I have heard most of these objections years ago, and they are old hat. I get the impression that most of the atheists on here are teenagers, judging by the types of questions that they ask.

Phillipians 4:5 "Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand."
1st John 3:18 "My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth."
While I probably didn't learn what was expected from most of the questions posted by athiests, I have learned something. I learned patience, I've learned to bite my tongue and to not post every little thing I type in response. I've learned that there are a lot of non-believers that are intelligent enough to force me to go to my Bible and search for answers, to learn more so that I can be ready to explain my faith.
You know what else I have learned on here? That it isn't just athiests slinging mud. They aren't all petty, or hateful, or prejudice, or full of themselves. Making sweeping generalities is not fair, and it's shows ignorance on the part of the one doing it, no matter who that person is. My God and my Savior teaches love. Love for all, not just a few.

properly.... One answer must be that they are no longer clever from an clever atheist's attitude yet another must be that the guy became in no way incredibly atheists yet in keeping with danger in simple terms offended at what their theory of God became yet yet another must be that the guy became in no way atheist yet agnostic and became in simple terms no longer clever sufficient to be attentive to the version seem..... the factor is that somebody non secular claiming to be atheist sometime and islam yet another isn't an occasion of an clever atheist changing to islam. extra possibly than no longer that's in simple terms somebody that's perplexed approximately what to believe because of the fact they found out mommy and daddy lie changing to something that's clever and seems exciting on the time till it gets uninteresting and that they discover yet another faith that's extra exciting and there is not any longer something clever approximately that

If I had to guess, I'd say it's equivalent to the number of atheists that have been converted by the intelligent questions posed by Christians.

I agree with Itsme. Some of their questions, when they don't bash or insult Christians can be very interesting and thought provoking. If they are respectful of the fact that I have different beliefs than they do and accept that I love Jesus, then I am very happy to talk with them.

However, where I have problems with the atheists are those that treat Christians as deluded people, or treat us as hypocrites, or bash our God. Those questions just are not worth my time.

No thank you. There really isnt anything in the world that could possibly make me change my mind. And I will stay true to Jesus. He is my strength and my life. And I love him.

Im not sure why, but I always smile when I think of how happy I am in Jesus. Its a great feeling. I will pray that one day you can also have it.

I've never heard of anyone converting to atheism. I've heard of converting to a particular religion, but... yeah... weird concept for me.

You know I wonder what happens to all the 14 year olds that come on here and ask "Is there a God" and read 50 answers of varying beliefs, but only one or two that reach them. One of those from an atheist who tells them all the reasons they believe there is no God (which obviously makes sense or this wouldn't be an ongoing debate throughout mankind).

Now this kid never returns to Y!A, or at least R&S, but is now on the path to creating a belief system that....you know......makes sense.

Not this Christian, I haven't been converted nor enlightened.

If anything, they make me want to pick up my Bible and read it more. So I guess I should really say a big thank you to all of the atheists out there!
