I love NASCAR. I grew up across the street from the Milwaukee Mile. Back in the Day most of the races were Indy cars but I loved the sound of the cars going around the track. I had a friend whose favorite drive was AJ Foyt. My was Richard Petty. ( This was back in the 70's).

Now I am a Dale Jr fan. I like how he's down to Earth, everyday kinda guy. He really likes the history of Nascar and will keep it alive for new generations of fans. He is making really smart business decisions with the help of his sister, Kelley. I believe he will win the cup many times with Hendrick.

I like going to the races. I like the fact at many tracks(especially at Busch races) you can still get in the pit area and talk to crews and drivers. It's a whole different experience going to the race and seeing it on TV.

My dream job would be working for Speed channel and covering every cup race. I'd like working with Jeff Hammond, John Roberts,Jimmie Spencer, and Kenny Wallace( I met him before, he's a nice guy).

I love NASCAR, because I can count on real drama and excitement in every race. There are always a number of stories going on, from the driver who's struggling to hang on to the lead, to the car that's charging through the pack, to the second-string team that's fighting just to stay in the top 35. Races in certain other series often cannot be distinguished from time trials: barring wrecks or breakdowns, the cars finish in the same order as they started in. That's never the case in NASCAR.

And my favorite driver is Mark Martin, for all the reasons listed by a previous poster. Since Martin's officially not in contention for the championship this year, I'm rooting for Jeff Burton, another "clean" driver, genuine nice guy, and all-round gentleman.

My passion for Nascar started when I went to Talladega when I was about 10 years old. Since then I have always been a fan. I remember going to school and there was not a single nascar fan to be found! I remember having a nascar key chain and people would ask me what that was! lol

I started to be a fan in the early 90s, when Gordon was making it on to the scene, and as a young guy I was attracted to the bright colors. He was my favorite guy, him and Darrel Waltrip (My grandpa drove a western auto semi for years, thats why I liked him).

Since then I have seen people who I used to explain my key chain too become fans, along with many other people. They always ask me who my favorite driver is, and I say Gordon, and they say WHAT! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU! I have to laugh and I said "what do you really know about nascar other than Jr."

I have been a Gordon fan since the start of his career and he even raced here in Kansas a few times on dirt tracks. I have always been a fan of his, but everytime I see a new nascar fan and all they know is JR, it just adds to my passion!

I am not sure what it is about Nascar that really keeps my interest... I guess its something that I cannot explain, but I will not miss a race for anything!

Nascar is the greatest. :)

My favorite driver is Mark Martin, although I like many others. Mark though will always be my number one. He is a true sportsman. He is a clean racer, and only wants to win if he gets the win clean. He has Integrity, and he has the respect of all the drivers past and present who have raced him, and I am sure respect from many who have not. He is a good role model through and through, and I really wish more really were like him on the track and off. He also is super appreciative of where he came from, where he is now and he knows where he wants to be.

He is also very generous to his fans, and hosts a fan appreciation day each year in his hometown to spend time with his fans and give back to them! Just a good man all around.

Well I have to be totally honey, and it might sound weird. I love the smell of racing fuel, and no thats not the only reason. I love the drivers, they are what makes it exciting for me. I love there enthusiasm, there passion for the sport. I have been to quite a few live races since 2000 and I am hooked. The sounds, the sights. It is very much so a family sport. And it doesnt hurt that the drivers are cute...lol

Jimmy Johnson hands down, been a fan right from his beginning in the big league driving when he was a rookie driving in a few races the first year.

Hes got morals, he may get mad on the track but he doesnt take it off the track with fist fights and media coverage about his antics like many other drivers do.

Plus hes just plain cute

I like racing in general but NASCAR most of all because it's roots are in the south where I live and grew up. Also, going to a few races brings you more in touch with it instead of just watching it on TV all the time. I've been to 4 races so far.

I started pulling for Tony Stewart when he entered the cup series. I didn't know much about him but just liked him from the start. He's real and doesn't mind saying what's on his mind, kinda like Dale Earnhardt was. I wasn't happy about some of his actions a few years ago but I'm not a fair weather fan. I met him a couple of months ago and he's very personable just as I thought he would be.

I live in South Texas where the Labonte brothers are not mere mortals. I have a place in my heart that belongs to the Petty operation, mostly because of their Victory Junction Gang Camp and it's focus on children with chronic health issues. I admire Kyle Petty for his versatility and his humanitarian pursuits. Plus I've always been one to be on the side of the underdog in life and Kyle seems to be in that role on the track most weekends. Labonte on the other hand seems very talented and is for the most part working toward a very good year. Had he not run out of gas this past weekend he would have had a very, very good finish.

Though I have my favorite driver(s) I like the total package.
The Qualifing is the first race to see who gets in the field.
The physical race to see who wins.
Ant the action with in the pits to see whos crew makes a difference in position.
Stewart,Hamlin,Labonte,
Rudd,J.Burton to name a few are favorites, but the spirtit of competition is watched the most.
