is there more gay christians then any other religion?
I ask this because from what i can see there is, and that seems weird that the LGBT community would actually "Want" to be in a religion that condemns them.

your thoughts?

1. I don't know if there are more gays in the christian church...
2. Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered communities are made of human beings who long for God, for salvation and for something greater beyond themselves, just as so many others do. (I would also add, Intersexed/Hermaphrodites to the mix)...
Also, maybe some of them realize that those who condemn them, should not be condemning them, and are not the final voice in their salvation or their personal relationship with Jesus.

My religion is Christian, and I do not feel that it "condemns" them. I feel that it separates the deed from the doer. Likewise, I do not feel that my Christian religion condemns those that steal, or lies or cheats. It condemns the sin, but lovers the sinner. Christianity helps us become more Christlike and to do things that will bring us true, everlasting happiness. Stealing, cheating, lieing, etc etc cannot bring us true happiness. Christianity helps us overcome those challenges of doing those behaviors, and to become more happy.

Gay as in happy, I hope so. I think that homosexuals are influenced by the spirit of sin in them. The spirit manifests its desires in them and influences them into perversion. I believe that man and woman can certainly love one another but to be atrackted to the same sex is contradictory to nature. Maybe some people are like dogs they just want to run around and hump anything they can, I've met some people like that I feel sorry for them. Lust is also a sin and we all war against mans sinful / lawless desires.

Well in America Christianity is the dominant religion, so statistically I guess more gays who are religious will be Christians. Personally I never understood that either, but people interpret the Bible differently and if they wanna be Christians then I guess that's fine.

I hope so. I have been trying to get Gay people to realize that the Fundies have it wrong for a long time. Plus we do not have the tendency that Islam does in eliminating people for it. I like that point a lot.

Well, then that would imply that homosexuality is a choice or something learned that could be unlearned. I don't agree with that. I think the occurance in the population is about the same no matter where you are, but your theory would imply differently.

It's not the religion that condemns them, it's the church and it's members.
