Humanity has been on the planet a little while ,what maybe five thousand years or something with some amazing technological developments and some minor progress in human conflict but what about a full billion years from now what might one expect to see?

I apoligize for my poor guess of time for HSapiens so if we change it to 200,000 or 400,000 as suggested by some it's still a drop in the bucket in comparison .
so just hypothetically a billion years does require a leap of imagination please Even if the sun burns out in five billion years and we are still alive and going with space migration we won't actually be here so it's only imaginary.

This is difficult to say as the bulk of the technological advances have only happened in the last 100 years. Progress up until that point was far and few between.

If you are predicting this pace of innovation to continue, we will outgrow this rock in space in short order. Personally, humans being as self-destructive as history shows, we might not be alive long enought to realize that end.

well your facts are a little off. Homosapiens have been around for a couple of hundred of thousand of years, not five thousand. But as far as what to expect in a billion, who knows.

Actually in a Billion Years, I think Jesus would have returned sometime before then and sorted everything out....
