Love, kindness, compassion and especially the concern for the weakest of society... but not gays. Or homeless people who are atheists. They're going to hell. Murderers are okay.. if they repent.

Love and forgiveness.
Loves people no matter what and forgives them.
Looks for the good things in life and avoid getting involved with the bad.
Patient and kind
Humble and Meek- knows GOOD and WELL they can't do ANYTHING good without God
Someone who always says - Don't worry, God will take care of it." when you're worried.
or someone who says "Thank you Jesus!" when something good happens and they don't know anyone is listening.
They're care free and say they are because God has them.
Someone who seems not to judge others.
Someone who seems not to worry about stuff in life.
Someone who acts like Christ or wants to be like him and who prays before making decisions, coming into new situations,
says their grace before they eat and prays in the morning and at night.
These people are often confused with SUNDAY Christians who are only Christian on Sunday. The rest of the week, they're doing who knows what. They judge other people and look down on them for not being Christian. These people say they're HOLIER than you etc. Believe they're perfect or that they don't do wrong.
TRUE Christians know that they're not perfect - we ALL do wrong ALL THE TIME but they're at least TRYING to do good things and they want God's help to do good. Thet get forgiven for the bad things they've done because they ask for it.

Look for persons who accept the principles in the scriptures below. Anyone who doesn't accept the Bible's principles isn't a Christian, regardless of what they say. AND there are a LOT of them around.
Galatians 5:19Now the works of the flesh are manifest, and they are these: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, quarreling, rivalry, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21envying, murders, drunkenness, revelings, and such like. About these things I tell you again, as I have also told you in times past, that those who do such things shall not inherit the Kingdom of God.
22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its affections and lusts.
25If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

The Fruits of the Spirit. Christians should show evidence of this.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
23 meekness, self-control; against such there is no law.
24 And they that are of Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with the passions and the lusts thereof.
25 If we live by the Spirit, by the Spirit let us also walk.
26 Let us not become vainglorious, provoking one another, envying one another.

Humility. Whether it is in the way they dress or the way they act, a humble spirit is one of the characteristics of true Christianity.
There are other characteristics, but, I must get to work.
GOD bless

Micah 6:8
He has showed you, O man, what is good.
And what does the LORD require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God.
I think this pretty much sums it up- and these are not my words,

Good question. Other than the obvious doctrinal stipulations of being Christian, i.e believing in Christ...
You are right...
I have a saying. Its more important to show Christ than to talk Christ.
I like your style! =)

"Love, kindness, compassion, and especially concern for the weakest of society."
If that's what makes a christian, then wouldn't that make me a christian?
