I dont mean to be mean, but everyone that loves The Christ and worships him or w/e, did it ever occur to you that what i the bible was fake? Just think for a minute. What if everything was made up and they put it in a book. On the history channel they said they found Jesuses burial with his family or something. What do you think?

What are you, like, ten? Of course it's been thought of before! That's why there are atheists.

Read the Bible and you will discover that it is the only book written by several authors of different cultures and generation that had the continuity and agrees with each other. It is the only book that able to predict what will happen thousand of years to come.

I give you just one example, Daniel 12:4: "But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased."

The Book of Daniel was written 2,400 years ago and yet it spoke of what will happen today.

Many shall run to and fro:
Look at the speed of how we travel today. Human now can reach the moon at speed faser than sound. There are airplanes, cars, ships, space shuttles that run back and forth.

Knowledge shall be increase:
Look around you. You will see the modern technology today that are nor available to our forefathers several years ago. The internet, cable tv, computers, etc. These are technologies that help mankind to gain knowledge more faster.

Warning:
This prophecy also mentioned the time when it will happen, to the time of the end. Therefore, if you are wise, you will know that we are now living in an End times era.
REPENT, BE BAPTIZED AND COME BACK TO THE LORD.

The whole Jesus' tomb is all pretty flaky. My recollection is that it was not a reliable archaeologist that was pushing this and the program picked it's interviewees to support his position rather than providing a balanced view from the field.

Considering that there is no hard evidence that he existed in the first place, and any soft evidence is pretty dodgy I am not surprised that they have not found his tomb.

They could always look in Nazareth. That was actually a burial site (and so unclean to Jews) when Jesus allegedly lived there.

People have said that they have discovered Noah's Ark, evidence of the global flood, some have even said they have discovered the Garden of Eden. Now someone comes along and says they have found the real tomb of Jesus? The Roman Catholic Church thinks they never lost it, and know exactly which tomb it is.

What do I think? I think it's all nonsense. But it sells books!

ADDED: I personally am not a Christian. However, Mezzo (above) gives the best, most honest, and most reasonable explanation of why she is a Christian that I have ever read. It makes perfect sense, you can't possibly argue with it, and yet she does not condemn anyone else for believing differently. Well said, Mezzo!

Things like that do not matter much after coming to know the living God. Regardless of what man has done with it, the Bible is what lead me to Him, and is a spiritual book that must be spiritually appraised. Being the best seller of all time, you can assume there is more to it than you might think. What could cause millions of people, over thousands of years, to want to read it and believe? God has used it to touch their hearts and change their lives! Read it... It can and will affect your life.

As for the tomb thing... it was nothing new.... a publicity stunt and some wasted time.

If we're wrong about the Bible and Jesus, and you are right- what do we lose? Nothing really. We have lived a life full of joy and peace, having Someone to walk alongside us through life.

If we're right about the Bible though, and you are wrong- then what? That's quite a risk, don't you think? I mean, if there is the slightest bit of you that thinks it might possibly hold the Truth (that Jesus is the only way to the Father), don't you think it makes sense to explore that possibility at all costs?

If I'm wrong, so be it. But if you're wrong, there will be a lot of pain and regret... :(

I think that that whole Jesus tomb is dubious and only the producers of the documentary actually think that that thing is real.

Atheist.

I'm christian and i know that there's no way to prove if there is or isnt a god, or if the bible is or isnt true, etc. I'm christian because it's what i believe, with or without proof.

I have never thought about the Bible as being fake, because it isn't.

I've thought that before, too.

... and no one knows who jesus really was...

It's ok to think and wonder.
