Pure spiritual essence has no form or outward appearance. That's a characteristic of the physical realm. The reference to being made in the image of god is our spiritual reality, our soul, which also has no outward appearance or form. The reference is also to humanity's god-like powers and intelligence as compared to the rest of the world of being. To think of the concept in physical terms is to trivialize it.

Man/Humans are very complex beings (designed with intelligence - which is another discussion) - and so is the Earth...I believe God is in everything, everyone and is everywhere. The outward appearance of God is in everything we sense. God is in us and works through us. God is in the helping hand of one person to another, in the plants that feed us, the air we breath and the stars that we admire at night.

God Is and so in whose image man was made - We all have the power to emulate love, forgiveness, beauty, life and so on if we so choose.

God, a spiritual being who is presumably omnipotent and omniscient, cannot be bound by physical form. This means no male, no female, no human characteristics. When speaking of man as an image of God, it is clear that this is a reference to man's state, not his appearance; that is, his original innocence.

...At least according to Christianity.

Edit: I think jaicee wins.

Ones you try image god, you created it.
Its like trying to picture a square-circle in one object, its impossible. And to think, people say they known whats God. While people fight about which god is the true God, the God of Truth remains unknown, because this God has not been created either by the human intellect or by any other god.
