All Catholic churches are in communion with the Pope
All Orthodox churches are NOT in communion with the Pope.

Given all the negative ratings for every question - perhaps you can become agnostic, simply believe in God and Jesus and not on "man-made" bureaucratic churches. However, if the Apostles had felt the same way you did - there wouldn't be 42,000 divisions of Christianity.

Um...that's pretty much the only way to go as a Catholic the Roman Catholic Church, or the Eastern Catholic Churches. The Orthodox Church is different, but the closest available. There's also the Anglican/Episcopal Church but they're falling apart from the inside out.

All Christian churches, for the most part, consider themselves "catholic." That is, part of the "universal" church. Remember, Protestantism was started by Catholics who found problems with Romanism and were booted out. As Protestants, we still recite the Apostle's Creed which states that we believe in the catholic church, but when we say it we do not mean that mega-religious institution run by the Pope, we mean only that we are the body of Christ.
Many of us have stopped using the word altogether because most people only associate catholic with the Roman Catholic Church in Italy with its many thousands of parishes all over the world. I would say, find a good Bible believing Christian church that has pastors instead of priests, communion instead of Mass, and Christ instead of works, confession, purgatory and all the rest of the rigamarole. Community, Congregational, and Baptist Churches would be a good place to find yourself a spiritual home.

There are a few other churches that include the name "catholic" in their titles. But they are not Catholic churches. They are Protestant churches. There is only one Catholic Church, the one Jesus Christ founded for all mankind, and promised to be with until the end of time. The one to which He promised, "whatsoever you bind upon earth is bound in heaven".

Anglicans call themselves catholic and in doctrine and practice are quite similar to us Roman Catholics.

The word Catholic means universal, and you could go to any Bible believing church then

Then go to the original 'univeral faith' or Catholic church as you call it. Go to an old fashioned Bible believing church. Where they preach about Jesus Christ as Savior and the need to repent of your sins.
