When you don't want to spend lots of time on your hair try this---
At night, wash your hair (preferably w/ curl enhancing shampoo)
and when you get out of the shower scrunch some of the water out with paper towels and put in mousse/gel. Throw it in a bun (can be messy or tight) on the top of your head. In the morning, take it out and it will probably still be wet, but put more gel in it. You can dry it with a blow dryer if you want. Try a diffuser unless, like me, you have poofy hair because it'll just make it bigger. Add as much product as you want & I recommend hairspray at the end, but never underestimate the power of mousse.
This works especially well w/ naturally wavy, thick, or coarse hair.
If you have straight & smooth hair, try scruching. Use curl enhancing shampoo. When hair is damp, use mousse or other products and paper towels to scrunch hair. Diffusers can also be very helpful.
As others have said---Fructis spray gel works well w/ either of these styles.

well, curling irons never work for me, but i use my flat iron to curl my hair. its hard to explain it on here, but if you look up on youtube curling hair with a flat iron, you'll get exactly what your looking for. also, when you do it with a flat iron, when your done with each individual curl spray it with an extra hold hair spray a few times. then when all your curls are done and sprayed, do an overall coat of hairspray, but not a strong one. one that says "soft touchable hold" or something like that. also hairspray has the tendency to dry out your hair, so try misting your hair with a shine spray when your all finished. hope i helped :D

Sometime people are surprized that scrunching can add wave to their hair. I use either Fructis curl shaping spray or aussie scrunch spray. Just a hint...lean over with your head pointing toward the ground then spray short sprits in hair while scrunch hair in your hand towards your scalp. Keep doing this until you hair has some wavy definition. If you have a diffuser at the end of yur hairdryer use that too while your head is down and your scrunching...Just a thought.

I swear by hot rollers. All you have to do is have dry hair. Roll your hair with the hot rollers & spray them with hairspray. Once the rollers are cold, you can take them down. Voila! Beautiful curls!

when your hair is wet, take small sections, twirl around your finger and fasten with a "pin curl clip"..little metal silver clips, close to your scalp. look in your local drug store, they're cheap and its easy..sleep on it or blow dry on very light setting..take out, shake and you're done!!

uhm....
try these:
when getting out of the shower with damp hair use gel to scrunch it up then air dry for a tight curl look.
or
use your hair straightner (flat iron) to curl it...
or
use a large round brush when blow drying for big loose waves
or
use hair curlers..
good luck
