Each time you get sunburned you increase the chance of getting skin cancer by like 4%. Most perosple said the sun causes skin cancer but I believe that we cause skin cancer. Sure the sun maybe hot, but we go out in the sun like it is no big deal. We need to put suncreen on all day and keep repaling.

Skin cancer MAY BE caused by too much Sun, but it's not always. Some people get skin cancer and they never suntan, and other people are always at the beach and they are fine.
Same with lung cancer. Some people never smoke and get it, and some smoke and never get cancer.
Well, if anybody really knew what causes cancer, they'd have cure for it by now.

Skin Cancer is caused by too much exposure to the sun. When you can't take any more Vitamin D your body cells produce a type of melanin eating cell. Therefore, your skin gets damaged. Other cancers have their own ways of starting!

Skin cancer is almost always the result of too much sunlight. Loose clothing or a strong sunscreen will provide a lot of protection.

Humans are supposed to have *some* sun. So blocking it excessively by using all sorts of sunblock probably adversely effects your skin. In my opinion it's the sunblock that is causing the cancer.

Cells are constantly dieing and repairing themselves. The damage is from normal wear and tear. Human cells have a problem with the DNA that limits the number of times that they can repair themselves. This is what causes ages.
Cancer is those cells replacing themselves with no limit or checks on them. They produce malformed cells, their DNA is damaged, quickly and keeps on doing it until the cancer is killed (or the patient). This causes tumors and if the cancer is allowed to go on long enough it can create a huge mass that can threaten your life. When a cancer cell is created it doesn’t do its intended job very well. It is a sickly malformed cell that just takes up room and consumes your body’s resources. Enough cancer cells in the wrong organ or the wrong location can shutdown an organ, causing death.
The famous actor John Wayne has a cancerous lung that had to be removed. The cancer was replacing healthy lung tissue with black malformed cells that couldn’t absorb oxygen properly. The cancer was replacing the healthy lung making it harder for him to breathe, so it had to be removed. The mass of malformed cells were the tumor.
There are only two ways to treat cancer; kill it or remove it.
When the cancer is in a delicate position, like inside the brain, surgery to remove it may do more harm than good. In cases like this other forms of treatment have to be used. Cancer is cells gone wild and they have a chance to infect other types of cells. Left too long the cancer can enter another region and infect those cells as well. When the cancer does this it is said to have metastasized.
Radiation can be used to kill the cancer, and it can be the cause of cancer. When a person is subjected to radiation their chances of getting cancer are increased in a direct relationship with the amount of radiation received. So when you tan in the sun you are exposing yourself to harmful radiation (UV radiation) that can cause cancer. The more you do it the greater your chance of getting it.
The idea behind treating cancer is to either entirely remove it or to join the body in a race to kill the cancer with a treatment before the treatment kills the patient. Focused radiation like the gamma knife is used to directly attack and kill the cancer cells. Sometimes the surgeons are able to cut the cancer off from its supply of body nutrients, but this is very hard to do. The body will rebuild its circulation system to feed those cancer cells because it doesn’t realize that they are harming it.
Chemo Therapy is where the infected person takes poison in hopes that they can kill the cancer before killing the patient. The drugs they get are not medications as much as they are targeted poisons. The problem is that even if the poison is injected right into the cancer site it will still circulate through the body. So the doctors don’t bother to direct the drug treatment in chemo therapy; it won’t do any good.
Cancer is so dangerous because the body’s normal defense systems think of it as normal tissue and so do nothing against the tissue. One hope of cancer researchers is to develop a genetic tag that will direct the medication to go right to the cancer itself and only kill those cells.
Cancer has been around as long as life forms have lived on the land. In fact some of the radiation that causes cancer might be behind evolution. The reason why we haven’t heard about cancer is because so many other illnesses killed the person long before the cancer could. And those infected with cancer didn’t know it and the science of the time didn’t know what it was or how to treat it. Rarely a tumor would form that could be cut off, but most of the time the cancer was inside the body. We are exposed to radiation from the earth beneath our feet and from the sky above us. But the most harmful radiation comes from stellar bodies like the sun. Gamma Radiation is the worst and it is found in cosmic radiation. It is impossible to avoid Gamma Radiation, unless you want to live very deep underground, but even then some of the radiation is powerful enough to reach you. This radiation can cause cancer, but it may also be one of the forces behind evolution. If a cell undergoes a random change most of the times it will die or the organism that uses a lot of those cells will die. But, sometimes the mutation is a good one and the organism will thrive.
Of all the cancers bone cancer is one of the worst. Most of our blood cells are made inside our bones. Our bones are hollow, not like a bird’s, but with a network of cells that form the bone and allows space in-between. This makes our bones lighter, but still able to perform the same as if they were solid. Inside of our bones is bone marrow. When you get bone cancer it can easily infect your bone marrow and when that happens you are in major trouble. A red blood cell lasts for about 28 days before it is retired and replaced. If your body starts replacing those red blood cells with cancerous ones then those red blood cells don’t carry oxygen or nutrients through our body. If this goes on for a couple of months then we are in major trouble as our tissues starve to death.
