We are free to do as we please, just as other life forms are.

We can't assume anything about this "God" because it is not defined. Once it was realized that more than one idea of God existed in the world, its definition was lost. Today, it can refer to any number of things, ranging from the old man with the beard in the sky to the universe itself to nothingness. It has become a meaningless term unless you place it in context with a religion or similar mindset.
To address your question...
Something free of space and time cannot be discussed by beings bound by space and time. If such a being CAN exist, we have no understanding whatsoever of its environment and thus cannot know anything about it.

I don't think it's the same to say God exists beyond the limits of space and above time. I'm not sure about the emotion part...I'll have to think on that...

We cannot assume this. Time may be a constant regardless of any power. For all we know God may be intelligence embodied in time itself. Space just might be God's body.

Yes, that is what Jesus meant when he said: "......the truth will set you free." This space-time universe is the staging area of continuous deaths and re-births. We will continue to be its slave until we become as perfect "as the Father in heaven is perfect."
