It's not bad for you it is just not healthy. See people wonder why in foreign countries people are thinner. Well in Europe they east meals much earlier and they get smaller later in the day. In America there is no common meal time for dinner. And Dinner is usually a big meal. See the body can't burn off the fat and everything else while sleeping. So it turns it into fat stores. By eating earlier you burn more and just stay thinner. That's all.

there's no really bad thing, people think eating at night will cause weight gain, but it's actually just the total calories consumed during the day. So you can eat after 8..no biggie

Write down your reasons... such as you want to consume in good shape, you attempt to no longer help animal cruelty, et cetera. make optimistic they're properly-reasoned and insightful. Their making relaxing of you in simple terms says that they are closed-minded and immature approximately this. do no longer call 'em on it, in simple terms say with courtesy "this is a few thing it fairly is significant to me, and that i'm hoping which you will help me in observe if no longer in deed." whilst they say "can no longer", do they propose that they doubt you would be waiting to do it, or that they are going to actively preclude you from being a vegetarian? if this is the former, in simple terms coach them incorrect... plan out your nutrients properly, scout around for good bargains on vegetarian meals (soy milk, fake meat, et cetera) which you purchase with your very own money -- i would not propose asking them to purchase it for you -- and customarily be to blame. if this is the latter, properly i do no longer know the way you're able to conquer that. in line with threat you're able to could ask a vegetarian you recognize to come again over and clarify issues.

its scientifically proven that it doesn't matter what time of the day you eat - as long as you dont consume more calories than spend during the day you are not gona gain weight.
although you shouldn't eat about an hour before bed because your digestive system will be still working hard when you try falling asleep.

it has to do with the hormone insulin.
you are less active at night and before bedtime. if you eat a big meal and are less active and/or just sleep or rest, More of the food is stored as fat in your body. you'll gain weight.

For most ppl with a regular schedule i.e. 9-5 job etc etc their metabolism begins to slow because they are becoming less active. Unused energy (food) begins to be stored!

you don't burn as much calories as you do during the day. it also would probably keep you awake with all that energy stored up inside you.
