Sickness is a consequence of Adam and Eve's choice to disobey God and introduce sin into the world. What was perfect became imperfect and as time went by things worsened. Our bodies are no longer the way that God intended them to be when He created the first man and woman. From the time of that first sin, man has suffered illness along with all the other negative things that go wrong in our lives. I don't believe that God wants anyone to be sick. People get sick because our bodies are not perfect. I think that God allows things to happen and knows ahead of time what is going to happen, but I don't think He picks people out to plague with illness. However, He does always make Himself available to the sick. He is just a prayer away.

originally, humans were meant to live in the utopia of the garden of eden. adam sinned, so god made the world a rather unfriendly place (with germs and stuff) untill his second coming, when it reverts to the heaven-garden state. he may cause a few key people to be plagued, but not every bad thing that happens is his doing. this world it a shadow of what heaven is, and there are demons and godless people out there, plus the world operated in a different way. im not sure if this explained my point or not....

when people die, it really doesnt matter. the concept not being grasped by many is that earth is NOT the "main" world. the "main" world is heaven. earth is more preliminary. like, if you can live for jesus on earth, he will take you to heaven when you die.

No. Sickness is a natural event, from natural causes, not an act of God. Behavior is a major contributing factor in many diseases, though obviously not all.
