You won't be able to get financial assistance if you failed. Either you need to buckle down and study harder or you just aren't ready for college. See if you can get some career counseling through the college you are attending. In the worst case scenario, you go to a tech school or doing something else. I know it is tough to not get to what you dream but it is the effort that counts.

Well, in order to be approved for a student loan you have to apply to FASFA. So if you lost your assistance this year I don't know how it works for reapplying. Look at your FASFA loan info or check the website for a number to call and talk to someone. If that doesn't work you can try applying for a private loan (from your bank or something). However, chances are if you and your father are both on SSI you might not get approved. Other than that you should apply for some grants. With grants you do not have to pay the money back. You will need to do a lot of good essay writing. If you can't afford to pay for full-time student status, what about going part time? It will take you longer to graduate, but you won't have to pay as much all at once. Perhaps since you didn't do so well last year, a smaller courseload would work better for you. With all of that said, if you return to college next year you need to work a lot harder. Take it seriously and bring up those grades. Good luck!

Try a community college for a year or even two. If you do okay there, you may be accepted back into a college that you choose. Talk to their financial aid people and explain the situation honestly. They may be able to help you out. Depending on the type of disability you have, there may be scholarships available to you that you don't know about or a way to regain your eligibility for federal aid. Good luck and study hard!!!

I hate to tell you this, but because you failed two semesters it will be very difficult for you to get financial aid within the next academic year.

What I suggest is looking at the degree plan for the major you want and taking that to a community college that your current college accepts credit from.

Take classes at that community college. These classes should be applicable to whatever major you want to get. Do well in these classes. Do really, really well. I mean straight As. Get your professors to know you and work with them so that you can get recommendations. Also, get involved with your community, with the college, etc. Once you do this, approach the college you are currently enrolled in and explain your situation. You've got to prove that you deserve financial aid to go there. There are a ton of kids out there, myself included, that are very involved and do well in school and do not get the financial aid they need. You're competing with them so it is time that you focus and prepare yourself for working your butt off.

you can go to your financial aid office and ask for an appeal. you will have to write a letter letting the board of financial aid know why you failed, and what you plan on doing to fix the problem. more than likely, they will accept your appeal and give your financial aid back for one semester. during this probationary semester, you must meet certain criteria and if you do, you will get your normal financial aid back. hope this helps! and good luck!!
