Mars was not created to have life, it's the wrong distance from the sun, it's to small in size, It does not have a moon which is necessary, not sure of complete soil composition, not properly tilted on it's axis. Mars will never have life. That is why they will never find another planet that can harbor life, to many necessities needed, right size sun and distance from it, plus what is mentioned above. And, yes, God must declare life to be there in the first place.

Let's take it naturally,
God had created planets for some reasons. The reasons that we will figure out in future.
Just imagine, you were in the past wearing leaves all you can see was trees around u. If we were keep going to hunt animals and eat fruits u wouldnt be there today, because a big population was going to eat and finish this things like we are doing nowadays with fossil fuels. God sent some intelligent guys who made cloths, agriculture, and stuff. So we are using computers + still alive today JUST because of them.
We dont really know SO MUCH about other planets. We know that they had a life trillion of years ago when people on Earth didnt even know what science is. Probably Earth started because someone came from some other planet in search of sources and they found a planet full of water and sources which is called earth. Probably People in Mars died due to some global changes.
No one can prove that there is no life on Mars, probably there is a life, but we dont know that ( ITS IS POSSIBLE THAT PEOPLE OVER THERE LOOK WAY DIFFERENT THAN US). God can do anything.
Today if there was a life on Mars, with the knowledge of science and stuff, we could have figured out so many things about space. If god wants to he can still create a life on other planet, they can have something that will let them survive such as Ozone and human sources.
THIS IS ALL AGAINST SCIENCE!
I WAS JUST IMAGINING EVERYTHING I WROTE.
FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO SAID THINK ABOUT SOURCES AND STUFF, IF I AM NOT WRONG HE IS TAKING IT NATURALLY NOT SCIENTIFICALLY

We do not know if Mars is devoid of life.
Christ said in John 3:12; "If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?"
Now Jesus taught on more than on level.
About the past and about what would be needed in the future and as people would understand it the very moment He stated it!
There is the physical understanding, the mental understanding, and the spiritual level too.
If God decided to put life on Mars then there is or was life on Mars. We do not know yet.
In Ecclesiastes 3:11 we see this stated by a prophet of God; "He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end."
We do not know all the works of God Almighty nor will we ever. Let us rejoice in our labor. The whole chapter here is quite beautiful.

god did not create the planet... sorry, scientific evidence is far greater than this fairytale book you call a bible... Mars probably had a booming civilized population that destroyed itself and everything living due to global warming... just a guess but a little more believable than god picking the third rock as a science experiment... hopefully as people become a little more educated they will understand "scientifically" exactly how the earth became. We are close, with 1,000's of theories... God and creation being the most far fetched.... Quit beating yourself up and get rid of that book...

I think that Mars would look the same, because it is highly possible that life existed on Mars (without the help of a creator) and that it became extinct due to global changes.

Follow the references on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Life_on_Mars for a more detailed view of the likeliness of life on Mars. Despite your views, evidence shows that there was probably life similar to terrestrial bacteria on Mars at one point.

firstly, there IS reason to believe that mars was at one point teeming with life, like lines in the dirt and the giant volcano that suggests some kind of water developement, and secondly, whos to say there isnt life there now? maybe we just havent found it yet? or maybe it is all underground in some steamy underground-cavern metropolis?

It is not possible for mars to have life on it because it's too close to the sun....
There might have been life on it billions of years ago because they found evidence of water on the planet....
Now don't tell me you didn't know that?

Same words of life?
Then Mars would be a clone of Earth.
Gee.
Are we real? Or are we Memorex?

First off, read this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Life_on_Mars - Specifically the "Modern findings" section.
Before blabbing off about "god" I suggest doing research about what you're talking about first...
