Yes it is entirely possible for one budgie to kill another. In the wild, when confrontations get violent, a budgie can fly away but this is not the case in a cage. A bird can become so harassed that her health is compromised. Once that happens, it can result in death even if there are not major phycisal injuries.

I've never seen anything like that, and I've had budgies for 27 years. Every budgie is different, but I think the behavior you describe is very unusual. I'm sorry about your little bird.

if he has been agressive since day 1 he probably killed her by stressing her out and maybe trying to constantly breed with her... i wouldnt suggest putting anothe budgie with him anymore because the problems will just persist

Did you confirm it was the male. Could it have maybe been a diesease. I would think it would be the oppistite. The female kills the male since th are more aggrssive.Call your avian vet to ask. Sorry about your loss. Bye

Not good to allow a bird to kill another.

Guess you know you were responsible for this and won't let it happen again.

if she did not want to breed he probably did kill her
