This is only for Christians that believe that you will go to hell if you are not a Christian.

I am not a Christian so forgive my ignorance, but if someone were to hypothetically go their entire life without committing a single sin, would they be allowed into heaven even if they weren't a Christian?

It is my understanding that no unclean thing can get into heaven, but if someone was free of sin because they never committed any, would they be allowed in?

Once again, I know this would never happen, I'm just trying to learn what you believe.

Thank you for your answers.

No sins would be a grand achievement. However regardless, everyone must be 'born again' or 'saved' to get into Heaven.

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except one be born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God! That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born anew. The wind bloweth where it will, and thou hearest the voice thereof, but knowest not whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be? Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou the teacher of Israel, and understandest not these things? Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that which we know, and bear witness of that which we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. If I told you earthly things and ye believe not, how shall ye believe if I tell you heavenly things? And no one hath ascended into heaven, but he that descended out of heaven, even the Son of man, who is in heaven. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up; that whosoever believeth may in him have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life.
John 3:5-16 (ASV)

Only God can be the ultimate and final judge of who He sees fit to inherit the earth in His Kingdom...but the Bible says that the meek will inherit the earth...so whoever tells you without a doubt that they are saved and that you are going to hell is not being meek or humble in any way, shape, or form. That's just plain arrogance.

I don't believe any of us are worthy of going to heaven. Heaven is for God, Jesus, and the angels, because they are all perfect beings. That's why God created the earth, for Adam and Eve to live in, and for us. The earth was a paradise when we were perfect (Adam and Eve), but we threw it all away because of greed (sin), so now we live in the earth you see today...full of hatred, death, and so many other horrible things. God will restore the earth back to the way He intended it to be...a paradise, but He is still watching and waiting on us to fulfill His plans (His will). Then when He decides the time is right...the earth as we see it today will be like a slate wiped clean. Read Revelation 21:1 "And I saw (the apostle John saw a vision given to him by an angel of God) a NEW heaven and a NEW earth, for the first heaven and the FIRST EARTH had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, NEW Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God..."

Well really there is no "hypothetically" about it. But okay, if you just want to grant that impossibility............ IF someone went their entire life without sin, then no, I don't think they will be able to go to heaven. Here is why. Heaven is God's domain. You have no RIGHT to go there. Think of it this way.... I come to your house tomorrow and say, "Hey I have never done anything wrong so let me in."

Naturally you'd deny me.

My being a good person has nothing to do with you letting me in. What matters would be us knowing each other and me not defiling your house. Same with heaven.

Yes. However, there is one thing I worry about with this, and that is sin nature. Everyone is born with a sin nature. It's believed to be spiritually passed through the male line, which is why Jesus didn't have it, since Mary was a virgin. So, I worry that the sin nature is itself a corruption which will earn you hell. That may seem unfair, but remember, we are spiritually connected, our sins affect others whether we like it or not. When God confronted Cain and Cain asked "am I my brother's keeper?" that was put in the Bible not just bc he said it, but bc you ARE your brother's keeper, we are all responsible for one another and spiritually connected to each other, like it or not. So, Adam and Eve's sin has passed down to us in our sin nature.

The answer is, I'm not sure. If you somehow managed to live without committing a sin yourself, you may still be found corrupted by your sin nature, and if that's the case, you can't get into heaven. You need Christ.

Well, it would be impossible, because even deeply commited Christians sin every once in a while. As long as you have him in your heart, you shall go to heaven. But, if you don't believe, and if you don't do good things to glorify His name, then in the end it won't matter. Just find God, if you are willing to acknowledge his existence. The only way to the Father is through the Son. Try to discover Him, you just might find Him.

You cant go through life without committing a single sin if you don't believe in Christ that in itself is the biggest sin that you could possibly have. You are going straight to hell do not pass go do not collect two hundred dollars. Hell Hell Hell. Repent before it is too late.

- first of all no one can say that they have never sinned in their life. If we even say, you have never lied- we just did. In the Bible - Romans 3:23 says- ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. God is holy and we are not, so there has to be payment for sin- so it has to be us or a sacrifice for us= and that is Jesus. The only person who walked this earth that never sinned was Jesus- so He paid the price that we could never save, so that we could have eternal life with Him. You are right to use the hypothetically here because we all sin. It is our chose if we accept the sacrifice or not. By the way, thanks for your questions, it really does seem like you want to understand us.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Romans 3:23

Which means everyone has sinned. No one can go their entire life and not sin. It is impossible. Jesus is the only one who has never sinned.

You have to repent, and accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior and live according to His word. That is the only way to make it to Heaven. Nothing else.

I believe that there are people who don't commit sins, for instance people who don't have the ability to reason. Like children or people with some sort of handicap. I don't think they go to hell. How can someone who doesn't know they are doing wrong be punished? A merciful God wouldn't do that, and I believe my God is merciful.

First of all, no man is free of sin. There was only one reincarnate that was human form who never sinned - his name was Jesus.

The BIBLE clearly states that the only way to escape God's judgement and make a way into heaven is through him.
You must first repent, be baptized and recieve the holy spirit.... some churches vary in these ideals.
The main point is that you do ask God into your heart and do your best to live for him.
