To make a long story short: I was with someone for 5 years and after breaking up we tried to make it work again, but he ended up starting seeing someone else behind my back, and then moved in with her after 2 months (after getting kicked out of his house). He has withdrawn a lot from his family and friends since being with her, including me. So, my question is this: how do men move on so quickly like this? It took me 4 years to get him to move in with me, but he starts dating this girl and moves in with her almost immediately. Not only that, but she's not his usual type...his behavior changed so much that even his family thought he had gone crazy! Guys, please help and give me some insight...i would greatly appreciate it!

Is this just a rebound, or should I accept that i have lost a best friend?

He is only moving fast now because it's new and different. He did not like the way things were, and the new way is so much better to him. He can accept that his 'old' way of doing things has not made him happy, so why not try a new way.
People often change in spurts like this. It's quite common for a person you've dated for years to suddenly get married after you have been broken up for only a couple weeks.

Your bf made a mistake in kissing another woman and you broke up with him right after that. Some mistakes can be forgiven without breaking up the relationship. As I recall, you said you were too hurt to get back with him. He took it as well, there is no chance here. He respected your feelings about what you wanted. Now you are saying he didn't show you a sign in order for you to know he cared? We have emotions too but we think logically better than emotionally.

Well....people have to move on with their lives, it is just a matter of time. I had an in-law who remarried in less than 2 years after his wife's demise. They were married for 27years. He was obviously well-prepared for the situation.
Get over him, and find yourself a good man.
