I have the same situation only its quite opposite. When we bought my puppy 2 moths ago and brought her home my cat would run away from her and hiss but never would she release her claws. Now having her two months the dog chases the cat, but yet the cat never fights back.
Dog--tea cup yorkie

The thing to remember in this situation is thats cats are very independent. Your cat is just trying to let your puppy know who the boss is. Just let them do their thing eventually your cat will start getting used to the fact that the puppy is there to stay and will get along. We just got a puppy and it took my cat about 4 months before it let the dog even come close enough to sniff her. Now the cat will play and love on the puppy.

they will eventually get used to each other.
i have a dog, and two cats
and at the time when we got the dog, the cats hissed and scratched it.
they wanted nothing to do with the dog, and all the dog wanted to do was play.
but dont get mad at the cat or hit it or anything when it does this to the dog its just its way of doing things
but anyway after about three four monthes
they got along
and now they play together sleep together and everything
it may look bad now but eventually they will love eachother and get along fine!

Just give them more time. The cats are being cautious because a rambunctious young lab could pounce on them and hurt them. They are protecting themselves. They'll probably like him more when he is older and settles down a bit. Right now they are play toys to him! They may never be best friends, but they can learn to behave around each other and tolerate each other. Be sure to correct you pup carefully if he tries to get rough with the cats, and reward and praise him when he is quiet and gentle with them.

It depends on the dog and the cats personality. Some dogs get along with cats and some don't. Also, some cats get along with dogs, and some don't.

the cat will just tend to ignore the dog,or swipe it .
really depends on who boss, we shall wait and see ....

i read somewhere that the cats just show off in front of the humans and when you are not home they are all just loving on each other. i think its true. cats are smarter than you think.

They will either hate or love each other, give them some time. There's really nothing you can do about it anyways.
