Take two extra-strength tylenol. Wait 3 hours. Take two advil. Wait 3 hours. Take Tylenol again...

This routine should bring down your temp. If you're not feeling better and your temp's not down in a couple of days, I'd call the dr.

102.7 is not dangerously high. If your fever goes above 104, then you need to go back to the doctor. If you still have a fever this time next week, then I would go back to the doctor; if you go back before then, they'll just tell you what they already told you. To be a little more comfortable, take Tylenol or Advil and it should bring your fever down a little bit. Other than that, there's no real medicine for a fever, just medicines for the underlying cause. Like your doc said, just wait it out.

If you still have a fever in 3 days, go back to the doctor.

That isn't too high of a fever if you are sick with a cold. Anything over 104, you should worry.

the dr. didn't prescribe any meds. ? Im not a dr., but i think you should have gotten something for your temp.. Some sort of anti-body helpers, or at least aspirin(if your not allergic). Like i said "im no dr." but i think 104 is the "your sick or your not sick" borderline. I had 104 and i had to go to the hospital. I got some big blue pills and some kinda magic mouthwash or somethin like that. you could always go to a different dr. and get a 2nd opinion. if it makes you feel more secure about your health

Well you're not at any serious risk at 102.7. I would suggest taking some tylenol to lower the fever, and perhaps put a cold back on your forehead from time to time.

If it didn't pass in about a week, I would suggest a return visit. If it gets ANY higher, I would also suggest getting back to the Dr. ASAP.

It is pretty high for and adult, not sure of your age. Depends on your other symptoms with it. If you have congestion, sore throat, coughing, sneezing, headache I would call the Dr. back and complain if not better withing 24hr. You may need and antibiotic. Drink lots of fluids and take tylenol.

Yeah that's pretty high. If it's not better by tomorrow I'd say go back, or two days. I hope you feel better!
