Just keep in mind. Parrotlets are BIG eaters and arnt picky. Since some other breeds of birds are picky, they prefer artificially colored ones. Since your Parrotlet wont care, this would be a great time to feed Harrisons Pellets.I'ts easiest to get those cute things to eat a healthy diet than most birds. Anyways Quality Discount Cages or Foster and smith have cages. Also, every petco I visited has parrotlets so yeah go and buy one.Or even better if you can find a breeder on BirdChannel.com.

I bought a young parrotlet at a local bird fair for $65.00. Pet stores will charge a lot more than a private breeder. They are fun little birds, and are actually small parrots. They need big cages with lots of toys, different perches, swings, and they like those fuzzy little huts to hide in.

I don't blame you! They are CUTE! I just found a perfect sized cage for my lovebirds at just $150 at a local exotic bird store -- search for one of those in your area. You probably can pay less than I did since your birds may not need as big --though parrotlets aren't much smaller than lovebirds and they are also very playful. Mine is very sturdy, and much bigger and better quality than those junky tiny ones in the pet store. It is about three feet by three feet by two feet. IT doesnt take up much space and has room for lots of toys and to decorate cool and natural, and looks very nice in set up here. Good luck, take your time! Enjoy your birds!

PS, I have seen parrolets for $300 so that sounds like a good price to me:)

what exactly is a parrotlet? do you mean parakeet/budgie?
Ok, now that I looked up what a parrotlet is, I would guess that $150 is a good price for it, parrots are expensive to buy so I would imagine that a small one would be alittle bit cheaper. You could try ebay for a cage.

If the parrotlet's cage is very reasonable, it would give him comfort to have his same cage, at first. Save your money and look for a bigger cage. See eBay or if you have FreeCycle in your town, get one for free there.

Happy bird life to you.

If you really love it then yes. But be sure to make a trip to the grocery store to buy it some pickles and cheese.
