can't there be an international effort to spray the atmosphere with non-poisonous chemicals and particles that will block sunlight? i heard if the north pole melts, it will open up new ship routes.

Also, if the north pole melts, it WON"T make new shipping routs. The magnetic feild of the earth will stop communication and GPS in that area, not he safest idea.

The spraying of particles to block sunlight will have more drastic effects in the long run than global warming has now. The environmentalist are correct on this issue when they say all we need to do is to stop emission of green house gases so the ones already there can disperse.

Blocking sunlight? Who needs sunlight? Oh yeah, every organism that photosynthesizes. But what the hey, we have PLENTY of oxygen, right? And the food chain won't be THAT disrupted with the GREATEST influx of nutrients taken out of the equation...

ya if the north pole melts i heared that the hole new york city will be under warter and any other city that will be at sea lvl and it will be extrimely hot like in the 200s but i think not to be worryed because they found a planet that might hold life
