i have like 20 friends where should i go enjoy a nice day at the beach in brooklyn. ppl say coney island. wat do u think. is coney island the way to go?

Many from Brooklyn and Queens go to Jones Beach.

I went to Coney Island last week and it was fun. The people were colorful, but I didn't feel threatened at all. It seemed like any county fair, except with out the livestock and at the beach! And apparently there are going to be some big changes in the place with in the next few years, so you might want to go now and see a very American sort of place, before it becomes another Las Vegas.

Brighton Beach and Manhattan Beach are less crowded, but Coney Island is probably the most fun experience overall.

coney island is awesome.
especially on summer nights.
and it's more than just sand and ocean water.
theres the boardwalk filled with arcades/amusement parks/food.
and i usually go with my gang of friends too.

coney island is ok, however don't stay too late it can get a little "dark"...Right next to it is Brighton whichis all Russian. It's not bad, I guess that's your best bet.

i would take the train/bus and go to rockaway.
the beach is stretched out for blocks and it's great for a large group of people.
