It's fine.
Those who have a problem have obviously yet to mature.

Bahahahah, thats kinda funny. Oh, where to start, people have stereotypical views of what is acceptable behavior within society. Now, women being helped up, to see the stage better at a musical concert by being lifted, held up or seated on the shoulders of her boyfriend, is socially acceptable. A switch on that gender specific scenario, is not socially acceptable. It may infer to others, that you are not masculine enough to see for yourself, and that not only are you not putting your gfnd first by giving her the better view, but you are making her carry you. It just isnt done. That isnt to say that its wrong, I mean what with equal rights and all that now, but traditionally speaking, it was not socially acceptable behavior. So that, is why you recieved the response you did.

As long as she was willing to let you up there and you did not force her or coerce her, then it is fine. It just looks odd to see a man on a woman's shoulders. As far as why people make rude comments? Well, I can't answer that. People make rude comments all the time about things that are none of their business.

You don't think the people behind you wanted a better view too? I'd be pissed if I dropped money to see a live concert and had to see the back side of some guy all night.......just some consideration to think about.

I think it's alright! I weigh 145 lbs, and my ex weighed about 120, I could pick him up and run around the house no problem! It's fun. If your girl lets you on her shoulders and holds you up, tell everyone else to cram it because you're getting a good view.

Not all smaller men are feminine. I dated a guy that was 4 inches shorter than me in college. He was the realest man I ever dated...
Ignore the others. They have small minds...among other things I'm sure.
All that matters is if YOU and your girlfriend enjoyed your concert....and your life...
Rock on!

Yeah; a guy shouldnt be on a girl's shoulders. That isnt very 'manly'. I dont think someone making rude comments is neccessary; but I wouldnt do it again.

Because they paid to see a concert and not your butt crack. They made rude comments because YOU were blocking they're view, And you were being rude to them by being up there . Might want to keep that in mind next time....
