13 And who is he who will harm you if you become followers of what is good? 14 But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed. “And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.”[a] 15 But sanctify the Lord God[b] in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; Peter 3:13-15

Just remember they are not rejecting you, but the Lord Jesus and they will have to pay for that one day if they do not make things right with Him.

Blessid are not those who are unaccepting of other beliefs. Christianity is no better than Judaism, Buddhism, Islam, Atheism, etc. I know it is important for some Christians to try to convert others, as I was a Christian earlier in my life. However, if you think about it, it is sometimes plain ignorance.

All the time and you know how much Jesus was persecuted when He witnessed? I expect it but I don't let it bother me because I know where I am with Jesus....
I do, however, pray for the persecutioners..
Another thing: Through much persecution, some people I witnessed to have been saved!!

I don't hate you but what about when people make fun of me and persecute me for being a Buddhist? Would that count or would I just be another 'heathen'? I don't wish this on anyone.....

yep... i've been hosed, had fruit thrown at me, been verbally abused and had a dog set on me... but you know what.. at least i havent been beaten, stoned, lashed or anything like first century christians... water dries, fruit aint that hard and verbal abuse shows only mental stupidity.
we keep going because we love God and want to do his will.

They probably did, but I don't take no offense when anyone does that to me.
Because whom the son set free, is free indeed, and when you hold grudges, you are in bondage.
