Will the government give them amnesty? After all you can't put 15 million Americans in jail for tax evasion.
Perhaps Congress could pass much needed "Taxpayer Reform".legislation. Obviously the current tax laws aren't working. This bill would require tax evaders to pay a "meaningful fine" of say $1000 or $5000 to get back in good standing with the IRS (without having to pay the original taxes that they evaded, of course). This will bring these good people, that are just trying togive their families a better life, out of the shadows.
But we can't make them pay the taxes they evaded. That's just not realistic. Most of them have used that money already to buy homes. They are just trying to live the American dream like anybody else. If they had to sell their homes, the housing market would collapse.
Other tax evaders have used the money to start businesses. They are actually helping the economy.
Call your senator and tell them to vote YES on AMNESTY FOR TAX EVADERS

An absolutely BRILLIANT argument

So foreign nationals can break american laws an be forgiven, but catch me with a nickel bag, skimping on my taxes and im going to jail.

There is not right or wrong in the states anymore. Only those who have help in high places and those who dont.

They might actuallly go after the 15(?) million Americans that do evade taxes every year, but they wouldn't go after their (500?) super rich party devotees that each find loopholes to avoid paying $15 million in taxes each.
If they;re rich and connected, they'll get away with it. I say the poor Mexicans coming here trying to survive are not as big a problem as a handfull of evil CEO's and hotshots who get away with ripping off millions of people since they're cohorts of some powerful politicians. If their friend, the congressman, whose campaign they funded, finds out the government is going to buy 5, 000 planes from Company xyz next month, he'll call them up and they'll buy the stocks, get rich on insider trading, what got Martha Stewart in jail. I think halliburton is a good example.
So you want to kick down at the poor. Why not kick up for a change?
However, we should get tough with illegals that are just getting into a life of crime, especially robbery, rape, guns, and other violence. It would take so long to process 12 million people, that if we started yesterday just deporting the repeat criminals, it would take a decade.
I don't mind about half of them staying, but we need to keep track of them and if they're just picking vegetables or doing construction and trying to survive, I say leave them alone.

Technically, there is no law saying you must pay income taxes.

There's a lot of research out there. Most ex-IRS workers do not pay taxes because they know the loopholes to keep themselves from doing so.

Last I checked, tax evaders don't do drugs and join gangs like illegal immigrants do. Our society has no incentive to give them amnesty. You're an idiot.
