Treating your mate as your cherished friend...not just one who you " won ", acquired or who " belongs " to you. Also...not letting the attentiveness wain just because so many years have been shared together.

Why not keep cherishing your sweetie as your boyfriend or girlfriend even years after knowing each other. The word " friend " is in those words boyfriend and girlfriend. Cherishing that loving friendship and seeing that brightness in each as when you both knew each other that way. Maintaining care for appearance, smiles just for them, etc. as when were boyfriend / girlfriend ?

Too bad that's a " riddle " and not something continually kept in the forefront of the mind, heart and soul.

Speaking from experience as I was married 23 yrs....Now divorced 4 yrs. and in the dating world again and discovering many know how to have ' fun ' yet not many seem to be aware of how to be relationship attentive.

Interesting that this is in Religion and Spirituality. Many seem to know how to relate to the person...the body...yet not the soul. That's a discovered problem right there.

Will be watching to read answer to " riddle "...curious.

The Tearful Bride...

A new young blonde bride calls her mother in tears.
She sobs, "Robert doesn't appreciate what I do for him."

"Now, now," her mother comforted, "I am sure it was all just a misunderstanding."

"No, mother," you don't understand.
"I bought a frozen turkey roll and he yelled and screamed at me about the price!"

"Well, the nerve of that lousy cheapskate!" says her mom.
"Those turkey rolls are only a few dollars."

"No, mother it wasn't the price of the turkey, it was the airplane ticket."
"Airplane ticket.... What did you need an airplane ticket for?"

"Well mother, when I went to fix it, I looked at the directions on the package and it said -
'Prepare from a frozen state,' so I flew to Alaska!"
