if you look at it that way, then isn't it a triple blessing.
Rev 1:3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.
not just the ones reading and listening but also the doer's of these things.

Yes, you are correct that there is a double blessing in the book of revelation. It literally says blessed is he who readeth and UNDERSTANDETH the words of this prophecy. The book of revelation is literally "THE revelation of Jesus Christ". And the whole book of revelation is much more than just a prophecy of the end times, but it is a revealing of the whole plan of God through his son, the man Jesus Christ, the savior of the world. It is the plan of God for ALL of the time alotted to mankind on the earth, and it is a blessing. It is understandable, and if interpreted using the rest of the bible you can understand it correctly. It will give you hope and assurance of God's love as Alpha and Omega through all time.

Again, you are so right on with truth. Yes, I seek blessings of God every day, and double portion blessings are just wonderful. God will bless His obedient and faithful children.
Every act of obedience brings blessing and every act of disobedience brings curse. amen.
I was blessed by your question. wa la, more blessing. God is so good.

You forgot the important part---and keep those things which are written in it. Its not merely reading it.
