I know you won't give a real answer.
I know you will just fry your little brains trying to find some way to rationalize this one.
That is not in question.
I just want to see HOW you will do it.What little gems of regurgitated wisdom will spew forth,I wonder?
Deuteronomy chapter 13,verses 6-10:
“Suppose someone secretly entices you, even your brother, your son or daughter, your beloved wife, or your closest friend, and says; ‘Let us go worship other gods’—gods that neither you nor your ancestors have known. They might suggest that you worship the gods of peoples who live nearby or who come from the ends of the earth. But do not give in or listen. Have no pity, and do not spare or protect them. You must put them to DEATH! Strike the first blow yourself, and then all the people must join in.Stone the guilty ones to death because they have tried to draw you away from the Lord your God...

Your loving and merciful god clearly (right there in black and white) demands that you MURDER anyone who attempts to lure you away from him, even your own family. So why do you refuse to follow this command on a daily basis? How do you think god should punish you for your insolence?

And for those of you who like to pick and choose which parts of the bible you wish to use and those which you will disregard:
Revelation,last chapter;
"I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes words away from this book, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book."
He makes it very clear that it is not acceptable to use what you want and chunk the rest.

You would feel so much better if you relinquished all of this animosity.

Yes, this is under the law. I am very thankful that I did not live in those days because I would have failed just a miserably as the Hebrews did. Thank God we are not under the law anymore since Christ fulfilled the law and brought about grace and mercy. Thank God He took care of all my faults and many sins to make a way for me to see heaven even though I could never follow Him completely under the law. Also, you may want to remember Jesus's words: he who is without sin let him cast the first stone.

Well, I was going to tell you exactly what those ahead of me did, that we're under the New Covenant. Jesus came to earth to die for our sins and wipe out the old law. Yes you're right, God IS a loving and merciful God. Since you love to quote scripture, and “He makes it very clear that it is not acceptable to use what you want and chunk the rest," don't forget this one:
Romans 14:13 -- Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brother's way.
P.S. Matthew 5:44 -- Love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you. (I'll be praying for you!) God bless.

This was a law given to the Jews at a specific time. Christian KNOW they are not under the law, but under grace. There ARE directions given for how to deal with such a one in the N.T.
It does involve confrontation, and bringing the person before the entire church if needed.
Excommunication and ostracism for some always with the hope of their repentance.

I like how people say that the law you speak of doesnt effect them because they beleive a new law, but it clearly states that if the word of god (in the OT) is changed at all then they will be basically screwed when they try to get to heaven.

and John 8:7 quotes Jesus as saying If any of you are without sin throw the first stone. I know that you only write these things to bait those of us you think as inferior ( as exemplified by your comments) but have you thought of trying to hold a dialog with some of us? You just might be surprised by some of us.

This is not a commandment, have you not read the ten commandments?
This is Old Testament when people lived the law to the letter of the law and had become dead in the law, that is why Jesus came, to give life to the law with forgiveness and mercy.

But if we, or an angel from heaven preach to you any other gospel than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed.
P.S. God also said man shall NOT live by bread alone but by every word that comes from Gods mouth.
Keep the bible in context deary.

I am not a Jew living in ancient Israel.
These commandments were given to the people of Israel living under a theocracy, this law was part of the Old Covenant (old testament) with Israel.
I came to God under the New Covenant - where Jesus paid the price for all of my sins. I am no longer under the law, but under God's grace.
Is that answer "real" enough for you? If not, you don't understand why Jesus was born and why he had to die...

What you are not getting, Satan, is that we are not under the Law. Complain all you want, Jesus Christ paid for our sins, the Law as you have just noted is impossible for men to live by. We only die by that Law. The NEW Law is of faith, and it is written: The Just shall live by Faith.
Glory to God. Amen.

you took the context all wrong. you didn't prove a point. that passage is in the old testament. meaning to flee from sin. flee from peer pressure. that was the law then. get a grip. stop trying to slander the word of God to prove your point.
p.s. this is a straight answer...it's just the answer you dont want to hear.
