stan david is the name on the bottom. two women dressed like those in the eighteen hundreds and one is sitting in the parlor while another is standing. dim painting and don't know if it is oil or not. is this a painting by de scott evans? how can i know all about this painting?

Stanley S. David (1847 - 1898) is primarily known as De Scott Evans. He did portraits, trompe l'oeil, interiors and still life. He is documented in the link below.
