I think it is a good way to experiment with new types of music. I downloaded some songs of unfamiliar artists and music styles and found I liked them so I would buy the cds. If I hadn't heard any of their songs, I would have been hesitant to buy 3 or 4 or their cds at a time. If used properly and respectfully, it can be a good thing.

Yes and no. But most of the songs that I downloaded have now either been deleted because I didn't like them, or because I bought the CD they were on. And I haven't used it for at least a year now.
