The sun does revolve around the Earth. Why do you think that it comes back everyday?

Yes, but not because "some guy back a couple thousand years ago said so", but because the Son of God, the Creator Himself said so.
Do people seriously believe that the universe is millions of years old just because some guy, who didn't know the first thing about geological science, but was rather merely speculating based on limited, superficial observations, said so a few *hundred years ago*? Do some research about the history of geology. It's not that old of a science. What makes you think that these guys know more than the Infinite Creator God?
Hmm, who would a reasonable person believe: the Creator of the Universe, or some guy?

And if God went to all the trouble to make a universe that *looks* like it's billions of years old, wouldn't it be disrespectful to argue? @Losasha: asking a question about an apparent contradiction isn't "directing hatred" toward anyone...it's just asking a question. If you ever get over your persecution complex, you might find that disagreement can be intellectually and spiritually stimulating.

Some Christians believe that a day in Gods time is not the same as what we consider a day (24 hours) as far as I am concerned there really isn't any evidence that God said a day is 24 hours long.

We have the date from the roman Catholic Pope, Who counted the dates in the bible of the old testament..
The Roman Pope and clergy were super intelligent back in the day compared to the common people so the ran worldly and heaven laws... He never imagined a people As we are today.. He was wrong on the count, wrong on the bible, wrong with Galileo, and wrong in world war two... this intelligent, infallible man of a roman god could not figure out which side was wrong...
......Jesus talked of the big bang effect in the beginning of creation.
.......Our intelligence we have today is in the bible,
........The ending of the earth with another big bang is also in the bible...

I think you are a little off base. It is the Earth that is reported to be only of that age. Who knows how long the "days" were that God used to create the Earth? Could a "day" to God be far longer to us? It wasn't just that, "some guy back a couple thousand years ago said so". It was prophets and writings and such. The universe was never mentioned in the creation, just the earth. Get the facts straight.

Technically, the Universe could be any age, it's the stars and earth and all that God created in those first 6 days that is only 6-10k old (according to some people).
But yeah, some people believe that. People believe a lot of things.

Just fundies. Catholics don't,or mainstream Protestants. Just the loonie fringe. Every religion has one. Just like ideology, always a fringe element. Worst thing of it,they're good copy so they get a lot of press attention. Think of the problems that creates.
