I'm just wondering, since you became religious, have you ever doubted your beliefs, or your faith?

If you aren't religious, have you ever considered that there might be a right religion? or becoming religious?

Well Lawrence,
I don't usually answer these questions
but since it's you......
I grew up Jewish believing in God
Then as I got older I became very interested in science
and know in my heart now
at least for me
that there is no god as I once believed
I do believe that what goes around comes
around and you should always give more then you
receive. I try to live by that everyday of my life
Random acts of kindness and all that
I do think this is the most serious question you have
ever posted......Don't make a habit of it

I became a christian 5 or so years ago, when Jesus called me in one very awesome spiritual moment. I was asked to check out other faiths so I looked at them but since I was already in possession of the truth that Jesus is the only way to God, nothing I have ever heard, read or witnessed has changed my mind. sure times can get tough, and I thought God had deserted me last year, but the people at my church prayed for me a lot, even those who knew nothing of my circumstances, and they kept telling me God says things will be ok if I trust in him, and things are now better than they were before.
King David often wrote in his psalms that God felt far away, but he lived by the same faith we can all have, and the one phrase that I kept in mind was 'never forget in the darkness what you knew in the light.' In the light, or good times, I knew God would never leave me (it says so in the bible) and that he would work all things to the good of those who love him (it says that in the bible too), so I had to remember that whatever it may feel like, God was there and working for me.

I didn't become a Christian until I got into my forties...and I believe I was zapped just as Paul was on the way to Damascus but much less dramatic. Because of the way I came to my relationship with the Lord I have never doubted Him. I also had a healing...a significant healing from pain.
You can read about this on my website under 'Mikes Testimony' and 'Mikes Healing'

I have attended the churches of three different denominations, and I I doubted each one. I had questions that no one would answer, but I knew that if God inspired the bibles writings and he created our mind-then it isn't logical to think that the bible is too hard to understand or that everything is way above our head because 2timothy 3:16-17 tells us that "all scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work." Therefore there is an answer. So I left the church because I felt spiritually dead and confused. I knew that God is not the god of confusion as stated in 1corinthians14:33, so If they are teaching me confusing things then , I determined that that was a false religion. I now believe I have found the true religion because everything that it teaches comes directly from the bible, and abstains from following man made customs. I am given scriptures and answers. I prayed to god to give me the truth and I sincerely believe that after three denominations and countless churches I have found my place at a kingdom Hall.

Jehovahs witnesses around the world offer FREE home bible studies, if you would welcome a study or would like to know more contact www.watchtower.org, or your local kingdom Hall.

Doubt is a great way to strengthen your Faith, strange as it may seem. I had many doubts when I was eighteen. I was absolutely mad for God. I wanted God to speak just to me. It was bizarre. I wound up out by the ocean on a rainy afternoon and I threw my glasses into the sea and just sat there completely focused on knowing God. I sat and sat. Nothing happened. Then I realized I had to do something, and that in doing things, God would manifest through my actions on some level that I would understand and comprehend. Over the years I wasted so much time trying my best to find a language to talk to God in. I tried English. Nothing. Silence. Very frustrating, too, because English is my native language. I am 63 years old now, and I have discovered you don't need a language to talk with God. You can just beam in your thoughts directly. That is how big God is.

I am a spiritualist. I don't follow a religion as such but we believe in a greater power, an afterlife, mediums etc.
There have been times when I have doubted my beliefs, I have thought how can it be, it's too good to be true but my faith always returns and I am happy this way.

Yes, I do. But, I look around and see all the things he has created, and I know him. Some of the things in the bible I doubt, but not God.

Since I became a Christian eight months ago, I have had periods of doubt. I was a skeptic my whole life, and I'm STILL a skeptic. But every time I need some assurance, God is there, and He points me in the right direction.

I have doubted all religions since it appears that they are so plentiful and divided due to man's own interpretation of readings and what is right.
