Why do some people say they are in "Terrific pain"?

What could be terrific about it? Are these masochists who say this?

Some people have low pain tolerance. What might seem as an annoying headach to you could seem like a migraine to another person.

Be careful...karma may just let you find out what sort of pain many people endure on a daily basis...one of the worst is stomach cancer but there are many.
