For guys who have been cheated on in their previous relationships(and I mean a serious relationship not some one-night stand)...is it likely for you guys to cheat on your significant other in future relationships?

no each relationship is different. it might make him not want to cheat because he knows how it feels to have it done to him.

GREAT question!
No, actually, one of the things that helped me recover from a 7 year relationship where I was cheated on - was keeping in mind that I felt sorry for her and how pathetic she was. I mean, seriously, if things were so bad, or if the temptation was so great, then it would have been better for her to speak up and give me a chance. She didn't. I know it broke her heart too. She really wanted to make things work out after her indiscretion, but I took the high road and left her behind. Once a cheater, always a cheater. She ended up in a long term relationship after that. Her new guy and I met one day randomly and we got to talking. He said he suspected she was sleeping around. I felt so bad for the guy. He said she never stopped talking about me and the heartbreak and that it made things really hard on her. I always remember that.

She had an affair because of something lacking in herself - it had nothing to do with me. When I'm with someone, I am loyal and even more loving because I know how sad it is for someone who cheats, and looses their best friend and lover.

no, less likely.

because it made me appreciate how it ruins a relationship. How it destroys trust. How feelings are unrecoverable afterwards.
It made me grow up and see the other side and appreciate the relationships and trust i had in future relationships...

I now have honesty to a fault... if i was dating a girl and was interested in someone else i was open about it.... to my surprise a lot more girls were ok with it... because we werent commited they felt the competition competed for more of my attention ... or they left me to follow my other interest.. but at least it was in an open honest way and nothing was hidden... so that later on when we met we could talk as adults.

just because it was done to me, and of course it hurt and I got over it, does not give me the right to do it to someone else...if someone catches my eye, I will either say in my head, nice looking and keep going and forget them, or, if it is someone I am interacting with everyday, I will break off the relationship I am in and make myself available, I will not cheat.

No. If anything it will make you undertsand how much it sucks and will prevent you from doing it yourself.
