yea it should...just dry it out and say that it just stopped working...they make millions every year so dont feel bad that your lying...just leaving out some information

No, because it is your mistake not a manufacturing defect.

Manufacturers are getting more clever to detect false claims.
For example, all cell phones have a little piece of water-sensitive paper that changes color if it gets wet.
