my friend owns a Yoga and Meditation center that meets inside of a building that use to be a Church. He's trying to find a Pastor to rent the santuary out to?

I wish I had a definite list for you. Well established churches such as the Catholics and Protestants may still vary in their opinions about Yoga. Where do you live? Is it a small town?

There are churches that are more nondenominational and interfaith. Have you tried the Unitarian Universalists? They are liberal about these things sometimes.

The bottom line is to make it clear what your intentions and plans are. Ask specific churches that you may think are good prospects. They may simply tell you whether or not they would be interested in an arrangement like that.

Yoga(Paadhanjalam) can not be O.K.with any church.Because the followers are not listening(lack of discipline) the Christian Priests from Pope to Pastor are fed up and close their eyes.Yoga Asanas are a part Hindu Rituals(Taantric) & Philosophy. Each Aasanam has a controlling Diety.Mayuraasanam 's Diety is Lord Karthikeya. Dakshinaamurthy sits in Yoga Aasana,Yoga Nrsimha is a ferocious form Yoga Anjaneya is a meditative form."Yaasaa Padmaasanastha-Vipula Kadi, thadi" explains this.Mudras,(Avakunditha) Nyaasam(Viparyaasa Nyaasam is Goddess form) and Karanams are part of YOGA--used extensively in Hindu Temple Rituals.

I would imagine that most churches are cool with yoga. It's exercise (can be spiritual), and I think most religious leaders like to see people taking care of themselves and being spiritual.

Fundamentalists generally are suspicious of yoga.

My suggestion would be to approach the local ministerial association and ask if a notice can be placed in their newsletter.
