Especially when faced with the hardships and rigors of today's world, we all need a good laugh every now and then.

I have laughed several times today..
My oldest daughter and I went to the hardware store on the way out she was talking to me over her shoulder and ran into a line of wheelbarrows it was like domino's.. She and I both laughed while setting them back up..
My youngest daughter told me some jokes earlier that made me laugh (she is really into elephant jokes and has been for years)
What Time is it when 10 elephants are chasing you?
10 after 1.
What do elephants do for laughs?
They tell people jokes..
Why do ducks have flat feet?
For stomping out forest fire..

My son also made me laugh today.. He was out cleaning up after the horses.. (we have 3) His girlfriend was over so he was trying to shovel manure with suave and finesse (quite humorous all by it's self) When he had the corral all clean and was leaning against the shovel talking to his girlfriend when his horse J.J. (Jealous Jinx) decided to live up to his name, came over and knocked my son into the manure pile.. It's very difficult for a 17 yr old to maintain the suave air od finesse while laying in a manure pile.. I watched the whole thing from the kitchen window it was hilarious..
I will probably laugh a good 10-20 more times before going to bed tonight around here with all the kids and all the animals there is usually something around that strikes me as funny several times a day...

What makes me laugh in general?
The foibles of everyday life: laughing at myself and at life's little surprises.
Television comedians like Bill Maher, Conan O'Brien, et al.
A good editorial cartoon.
My pastor culls a lot of humor from his sermons. He, too, can find humor in the foibles of everyday life.
Songs. They don't have to be knock-down funny to be humorous.
Animals: watching squirrels, birds, cats, dogs, etc. Animals are hilarious!
And yes, there is humor in the Bible. We teach the Bible way too seriously. God created humor, too. He's downright funny in the latter books of Job. Some of Jesus' parables are funny, too. Think about it: a log in your eye!

I work with an individual who can not only dish it out, but take it, as well. I look forward to our daily rides to work. I bust on her as much as she busts on me; & to hear her laugh...!
