I know they do preemployment testing, but is it a hair or urine test?

I have no intentions of trying to beat anything. I was just curious if they will be pulling my hair out. But thanks for the assumption.

I just got hired by PetSmart and got my drug test today, it was a urine test, paid for by the company and done at a lab 15 minutes away from the PetsMart location. They said the results would be emailed to them within 24 hours. So make sure to drink plenty of water before hand so you can actually go...it would suck to have to go twice. ^^

Most pre-screening is a 5 band test,(urinalysis) which looks for certain levels of 5 substances including masking agents, opiates, cocaine, amphetamines and barbituates. Best advice, if you know you are going to fail, don't take the test. DOT tests are much more intense and will stay on a permanent record for 2+ years for a failure.

It doesn't matter. If you're trying to avoid getting caught, it won't happen. The people that run those tests know all the ways people have tried cheating. Your best chance is to get a detox before it and hope for the best. You can find those at stores like Spencers, or wherever they sell pipes, etc. Good luck.

I have never done a hair test before, but I have done the urine test. I think thats probably the most commonly used test.

Why are you concerned about what type of test it is ? Trying to figure out a way to beat it ? You're not going to get help here.

Just clean up and stay off the stuff. You won't have to worry then.

I doubt if they do hair - too expensive and time consuming.
