Sure it's okay, you can try out whatever religion you want, choose whatever feels right to you.
P.S. You might find out that Atheism is the logical choice.

Christianity and Catholicism are NOT the same.
There are some Catholics who are Christian, but many are just Catholics.
It is the same with many other 'Christian' denominations.
There are Good church goers, and there are Christians. I have known people who went to church 'religiously' for 20 years, and didn't know Jesus. They finally become Christians when they actually BELIEVED.
You can believe in Jesus as the son of God, and believe in his teachings, but still not be saved, though you could be headed in the right direction.
This requires a life-changing experience, being 'born again'.
God made you with a mind to think with. You are free to do what you want. I hope and pray that you someday become a true Christian.
I have done the same that you are saying, and finally came full circle. I am now a Christian.

You can do what ever you wish to do and no one can say you can't. Before you begin your search ask yourself the question why do I need a "religion", and what do I expect from it. Here is my take with those views in mind. I'll start by saying I believe the bible to be the word of God and that it is inerrant. I believe that based on several facts, two of which are: The prophecies that were made in the Old testament were fulfilled to the letter, as an example it foretold Christ's coming, what tribe He would come from where He would be born and also how He would die. When Christ came He fulfilled over 100 of these prophecies made 100's of years earlier. This cannot happen by chance it tells me it was done by the creator and author of the bible. Secondly Christ came , lived and died on the cross, was in the grave for 3 days, rose from the dead and walked the earth for another 40 days. He was seen by over 500 before He finally ascended into heaven. This was not just a man He was as recorded in John1:1&14, God in the flesh. He came that you and I might have a saviour, He gave his life in our place on Calvary. He tells us if we believe in Him in our hearts and accept Him as Lord and Saviour, He will forgive us our sins and accept us into heaven. No other "religion" can make that statement. The words of Christ were "Iam the Way the Truth and the Life, no man comes to the Father except through me" rather exclusive I'd say. So you see this is the correct way to heaven and the only way we cannot get there on our own merit. Some other religions will say "oh we believe in Jesus" but they only believe Him to be a prophet not the begotten Son of God not God. We are also told" neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given to man whereby you must be saved" only Jesus. So either you believe what I have just pointed out from scripture or else you might as well toss out the whole bible, this is the purpose of the bible,Salvation in Jesus Christ. If there was any other way to heaven then Christ would not have had to go to the cross and give His life. Your choice friend, choose Christ and you choose eternal life in heaven.

Absolutely. I recommend it. The more you study, the better. It is very intelligent to search for truth in as many places as possible before making a conclusion. It sounds like you are planning to travel from the youngest to the oldest. If so, check out the Vedas, too. The vedic culture is the oldest known to man. The Hindu religion is derived from the vedas, though it is like Christianity in that many, many different "sects" have developed over the years.
Happy hunting!

one million. i've got not got a faith. i'm an atheist. 2. i've got not got a faith so the question isn't suited. 3. back, no longer suited 4. some Christian ceremonies for social reasons. 5. i could say that I rejoice interior given holiday trips yet i do no longer rejoice the holiday trips themselves. I rejoice at Christmas time because of the fact maximum folk gave the impression to be interior the temper for social gathering. 6. i've got not got a faith. you're able to be able to desire to assert that atheism is tolerant of those issues because of the fact it has no doctrine on them besides the indisputable fact that that's fullyyt right down to the guy. 7. i grow to be born an atheist. I rejected Christianity on reading the Bible whilst i grow to be an exceedingly youthful new child. I common deistic components of Christianity yet by no potential grew to grow to be a Christian in spite of the reality that I easily have persisted to income the religion. I gave up on deism probably around the age of 10. i grow to be an atheist as quickly as extra and that i've got been ever on condition that. 8. yet yet another question that may no longer suited to me. I got here to the realisation that no faith grow to be splendid for me, for many reasons. there are maximum of religions, there have been maximum of religions and there can be many extra. Odds are, if there have been a splendid faith, you will no longer pick the splendid one. Odds are, if there have been a splendid faith, it would not be practiced in the process your lifetime. I rejected Christianity considering's equipped on inconsistencies, lies, and what i could call an immoral god. I rejected deism because of the fact I ran out of reasons to have faith. the massive one grow to be the layout argument, that's shown to be a logically fallacy purely by utilising the assumption of evolution, whether you have faith it got here approximately or no longer. those are basically a pair of reasons. marisa s is incorrect to declare to correctly known the ideals of agnostics. Agnosticism would not talk with thought in any way, it refers to awareness. An agnostic's theism is thoroughly autonomous to their gnosticism

Research is the only way to find your own path.
how can you be atheist if you kinda believe in god? Isn't that the opposite of what an atheist believes?
Anyway, if you feel that the path you're on is not for you, do some research, study, learn. Find your path through knowledge. That's the best way to do it.
