U.S. consumer group called for an urgent Food and Drug Administration review of the safety of aspartame on Monday, but the FDA said there was no immediate need to do so despite a new study showing the sweetener may cause cancer.

Italian researchers published a new study last week that showed aspartame -- widely used in soft drinks -- might cause leukemia, lymphoma and breast cancer in rats.

its a deadly poison but unfortunately there are many false studies to safe that aspartame is safe. just like chlorine and flouride and now ammonia are also safe in public water supplies. yes very safe!

always with the guise o you would need to drink this much thats 10 times more than we give u each dose. just like marijuana stays in someones system 30 days that aspartame will stay in your system a certain amount of days now lets say you drink it every day for a year then your body wont be apsartame free for 365 days straight. you wouldnt possibly pass an aspartame test at that rate!!!

so lets say you come across some poisonous chemical in your food and the FDA or whoever tells you its ok its only poison in large amounts dont eat it.

it will remain in your system building up like marijuana doesnt leave your system for 30 days neither will chemicals leave your body for a certain amound of days.

I hardly ever drink aspartame because I can't stand the taste. As for the study in the lab rats, I thought that the dosage of the product they were given was much higher than what is used for human consumption. Either way it's something to make one think about whether or not to drink it.
