"Pro wrestler Chris Benoit strangled his wife, suffocated his 7-year-old son and placed a Bible next to their bodies before hanging himself with the pulley of a weight machine, authorities said Tuesday."

Okay, free will, fine. But what about the wife and child, weren't they god's children? Or was god too busy to be bothered that day?

Don't have an answer, but the question is compelling. I've pondered this same query over other very negative situations. My personal belief is that Earth may be the true Hell & that man invented all religions as a diversion from that.

God is always there. That doesn't mean that what happens is what He wants to have happen. In a perfect world, no one would ever do anything bad, but we won't get to that perfect world until we've made it through this imperfect one. If God made everyone act as He wanted them to, no one would actually love Him or be doing good- we'd all just be little puppets. That would be kind of pointless. So the challenge of living is to do your personal best to become the person God is asking you to become. You can't control what other people do or what outside circumstances cause. You can't necessarily stop an earthquake, a hurricane, a car wreck, or a murder. Bad things happen and there is nothing we can do about them. But cheesy as it sounds, we all can and should do our part to make the world a better place.

What is it that you wanted God to do? Stop the devil from doing his work. We all have a job to do. The devil has his and I have mind. We all are going to die; will you be ready when the time comes. Evil kills people. Jesus came to take away that evil, but you won't believe. And when a man will not fear God nothing is off limited for him.

that just blows my mind. that's all i can say. i heard he died but i didn't know the details. all i can imagine is that ....he must have been in deep pain. hell, maybe he had brain damage. what a tragedy. i know i'm saying the obvious...i have no answers and i really wish i did. it's been a real shitty day today, that's all i can say. i get closer everyday to moving to a shack in the middle of montana with no running water and no people.

why don't you just mention the millions of starving children, the million seals being pummled for fur, the war in Iraq and so on? there is so much more to it. better yet, why don't you become such a good follower of god that he gives you the answer to that question and you can share it with the rest of us?

people do crazy things every day for different reasons. it wasn't God's fault that he was hooked on roids and killed his family. so if you got into a car accident because you were driving horrible..that would make it God's fault or was it because you weren't paying attention? my prayers are with the family in this time of mourning but you cant blame God for man's actions.

it isn't god's fault that things happen!!it's the devil's!!the devil wants us to hurt,to die,to cry!!
but on the other hand, where was god anywhere?
look around...wars,hunger,death,pain,mourning,suffering....is this what god had planned for us?i just can't believe it is so,i just have to believe that god has a plan for us and when he reveals it to us we will see his wisdom!
